2006, quan va estar-hi quatre setmanes al número 1, Una cançó de Dave Burke, Sam Tate i Annie Tate, enregistrada per Ronnie Atkins, va ser el senzill d'avançament del seu segon àlbum d'estudi, Aquest va esdevenir el seu primer número 1 a les llistes de música country, i a més a més, a través de Billboard va ser anomenat la cançó més important d'aquest 2006.
Leave the Pieces és una cançó escrita per Jenny Hanson i Billy Austin, enregistrada per The Records amb el seu d'album de debut Stand Still Look Pretty, que va servir com a senzill al principi de 2006. Aquesta és la primera cançó que va arribar d'elles al número 1 de les llistes americanes, The Records, una excel·lent duo format per Michelle Branch i Jesse Harp.

I ens ha agradat retrobar aquesta cançó Leave the Pisses en dues setmanes al número 1 al mes de setembre de 2006. Substitut per una setmana al número 1, una cançó de Jeffrey Steele, Shane Miner i Bart Allman, enregistrada per Steve Hawley com a primer senzill i tema que donava nom amb el seu àlbum Brand New Girlfriend. Tancàvem el mes de setembre i començàvem l'octubre, aquestes dues setmanes, amb un altre número 1 per George Strait, escrita per Jamie Johnson, Bill Anderson i Buddy Cannon, senzill d'avançament del seu àlbum It Just Comes Natural. Vas devenir el 41è.

I després, només una setmana al número 1, per mi massa poques, per aquesta cançó que van registrar la banda anomenada Hortland, senzill d'avançament del seu àlbum de debut, que es deia exactament igual que aquesta cançó que escoltem.
ha esdevingut l'únic número 1 a la història d'aquesta banda americana, escrita la cançó per Walt Aldrich i Elliot Park. La banda Hortland provenia de Huntsville, d'Alabama, va estar en actiu del 94 al 2012, es va separar i el 2023 va tornar...

S'ha de destacar l'èxit també d'aquesta cançó, el Hot 100, de Billboard, la llista més important en el bill general que hi ha, perquè allà va estar-hi un total de 64 setmanes consecutives, arribant amb el número 8, va ser el vuitè senzill de tota la història del Hot 100, que si ha estat més temps.
Després del Before He Cheats, com hem dit, un dels èxits de l'any, anàvem a tancar-lo pràcticament el 16 de desembre quan entrava el número 1, una cançó escrita novament per Jeffrey Steele, excel·lent compositor i gran cantant, i Stephen Robson, enregistrada per Rascal Flatts, tercer senzill del seu álbum Me and My Gang. Escoltem aquesta cançó que es deia My Wish.

Gràcies a tots els lats en My Wish. Tancavem l'any, tancavem el d'en 2006, amb dues setmanes del número 1. El primer número 1 que obtenia un grup que després es farien famosos, col·latament serien Sugarland, aquest duo, perquè era la primera cançó, a més a més, en la qual Genoi formava part l'anterior membre, quan era en un trio la Kristen Hall.
Tot i que Jennifer Needles havia tingut un número 1, recordem en Bon Jovi, la vam escoltar el programa passat, aquell Who Says You Can't Go Home, aquest es pot considerar el primer número 1 de la carrera artística de Sugar Land. La cançó que pertanyia amb el seu àlbum que ens el presentàvem, de fet era l'Enjoy the Ride pràcticament, ens portava una composició de Bobby Pinson, Christian Bush i Jennifer Needles. Es deia One To Sugar Land.
