the whole time that would be sick that would actually be an excellent that would actually be
an excellent show probably um yeah berkel would watch it anyway so should do it yeah uh i don't
know if i want to encourage him to do any more downhill biking than he already does i do if he
ruins his legs he can just wheelchair into his editing chair his legs he could have ruined his
his entire self in that last accident you can't you can't not do things because they're scary
so i think he should keep downhill biking i think he should not break himself but i do think he
should keep biking so they've actually this is kind of funny a number of you have been asking
about this okay orange to be clear this is actually not the wan show set should i like
pick up the camera and um like look out the window and stuff or should i super not you know what we
you know what we could do no way we could do this where is my other capture card okay it's in
inventory um do you wanna do you wanna uh what would be the best way to do this brandon has a
wireless hdmi thing oh so maybe like a special sneak peek at moving vlog stuff that well mind
you we've got moving vlog coming out like every day right i just wanted to show this room to show
how temporary it was sure sure yeah yeah yeah yeah sure sure sure show show them the room show them
what's up uh watch get your get your landmarks for where the the framing goes so that you can
put it back easily very oh uh i'm gonna not move it sure okay never mind you don't get to see
anything but okay for temporary yeah it's it's basically it's horrible yeah um wait i have a new
solution what okay i'll be right back i'll be right back okay i don't know how far away he's
going okay he's going pretty far away um basically we're in what's going to be i think this is the
library ed's looking at me through the window i think windows here is gonna be really weird
can you hear me at all can you hear me is this the library
lance is coming back is this the library yes yes okay so we're in what will be eventually the
library which isn't really going to be a library at all it's actually just going to be kind of a
quiet area dude i so i walk past john oh cool and uh oh i have i can unplug my mouse nope it's all
good so i walk past john and i hear on his headphones no wait i have a solution right
as i get over there and implement my solution like don what are you watching wanchu he's supposed to
be moving things so we are still not quite done we're still not quite done the move yeah uh it's
coming very soon done we still have a time sorry i meant to say inventory we're not quite done
inventory like none of the desks are built none of the computers are rebuilt um none of the monitors
are unpacked there's yeah there's huge amounts of work still to be done um but yes most things are
actually an inventory and that i guess is another teaser for the uh hot dog day yes yeah so for
those of you who don't know there will be uh we actually haven't confirmed hot dogs there are some
potential liability issues with serving food oh yeah because we're not a licensed established
restaurant and beverage so so basically yeah it's it's really not certain what what this
sounds like bullcrap because like every bank or whatever will have like yeah you might have to
get a but okay we're looking into it oh you might need like a care you might need like a permit or
like something i don't know i don't know i don't know if we're gonna have time to deal with my bank
is legitimately small enough that i could probably ask whoever runs it how they do it okay well
either way i haven't actually promised food in any way my bad what will definitely be happening
is a meetup so we're doing a meetup on august 21st uh we're all gonna roll into work a little late
like maybe noonish and then we're gonna work a little late so people who work can can swing by
a little bit later on in the day there will also be an accompanying garage sale yes yes
the the the legendary garage sale that we've been talking about since we were supposed to
be moving someone in chat says you can get one from city hall okay well whatever i straight
up don't know if we're gonna have time so forget about the food for now it may or may not happen
if it's there it's a bonus i'm promising nothing you can bring your own food you could certainly
bring food um but what there will be is a meetup what there will be is a garage sale so we need
to get rid of some space consuming stuff uh we're also potentially uh depending on what the demand
is potentially going to do tours of the new office so uh in small groups if people want to come
around accompanied by someone they'll be able to check out where the magic will be happening from
now on so that is happening on august 21st you know how museums and stuff will have like the
the like airport line management things that'd be sick we should just do it with ethernet cables
tape ethernet cables over certain doors you can't go in if i didn't think that um someone
somewhere was gonna murder you for uh wrecking their uh their awesome like cable wrapping job oh
and by unwrapping all the cables then i would say sure uh berkel has been two days entire days
working on wrapping up cables and categorizing them correctly so it's awesome though i needed
a power squid for this room and it was just instantly available yep everything is great
a place for everything everything in its place okay so here's my solution to uh checking out
this room hold on let me just fix this i'm gonna try not to make you guys too nauseated
so in the ceiling you can see that many of the ceiling tiles well you would be able to see that
if it wasn't for these yeah there we go for the light there many of the uh ceiling tiles are
missing that is so that we can get our final inspection at a later time um you can also see
things like that glass door has a big blue x on it there's a wire sticking out of the wall there is
debris on the floor and a fan because we still don't have air conditioning it is so hot really
hot it is so here is me trying to get the wan show going quickly just dumping things out of my bag
um oh and some people commented on luke's sick chair with the lioness tech tips embroidery um
that was that was one brand's attempt to win us over for the chairs that we're going to be using
for the new office but we actually didn't go with them we ended up going with max nomic just because
we found that out of all the like racing gamery looking chairs that we've tried they were the most
comfortable and the construction on them is really really solid so we ended up going that route
everyone saw my knife oh you're are they talking about your knife or my knife possibly your knife
my knife was also sitting on the floor when i panned around to my bag probably your knife thing
there you go yeah i really like this knife i got it on mass drop they're not a sponsor today though
so i don't have to talk about food all right so why don't we actually do why don't we actually do
a topic here i'm gonna pull the uh yeah i don't you know guys another thing that we should do on
wancho sometimes we should do the wench we should do the wancho about people that were late and we
should do a wancho where the entire time we are almost starting a topic and we never actually
complete any topic we should always just almost lead into one and then sidetrack every time the
timestamp you know the thing about that idea is now that you've said it it won't happen but we
could do it in like a year it could nobody could have easily happened on its own yeah yeah yeah
i mean how many we've been pretty close how many times have we been trying to talk about
some kind of actual topic on this show only to be led into like i mean okay get this this the
acts the access points that we're using for the new office um they're uh they're made by x-claim
so i actually reviewed it uh the xi3 fairly recently love it the hardware is awesome it is
basically almost exactly the same hardware as like some ruckus access point that is pretty much just
badass um like the slightly limited right yeah the rated speeds are not amazing but it actually does
it and it can handle boatloads of clients and lots of traffic much more gracefully than a consumer
great access point anyway the point is it lacks the management capabilities of the higher end ruckus
gear which is why you're paying like a third as much or whatever that works out to for awesome
hardware so one of the things that's uh missing is like a super awesome you know management
interface and i went and put a couple of already configured access points what is that 25 28 feet
up in the rafters of this building um and the way that it works with xclaim is that it's app-based
and the phone that i configured them with that i believe it's tied to unless something the phone
i configured it with has been formatted since then so i'm gonna have to get a scissor lift
to hit a reset button on my access point unless all of them unless there's only two up there
okay unless xclaim can walk me through this now they've said i should be able to do it
but i have tried getting into the web console which does exist even though it's bare bones
the problem is i think one of mine might be really old inventory that doesn't have the firmware
update yet or something like it's just a serendipitous comedy of errors thing are you
allowed to just grab one of the scissor lifts yes but the problem is that our inventory system is
in the way of the one in the back corner whoa so yeah it's like oh they're really easy to operate
yeah it's been just one thing after another like i mean this this is really great
so the editors have been bothering me for the um for access to the archive to the vault server
all week and i've just been like yeah i'll get to it yeah i'll get to it yeah i'll get to it the
problem is that um the vault server uses an sfp plus network card this episode brought to you by
mcdonald's delicious dollar drinks for only a dollar as large as you can drink and ice cream
that is a little bit melted because heat is a thing yep and this room is hot luke don't expect
him to participate much for the next little bit unless he wants uh dripping white liquid running
down his face and hands that wouldn't be terrible but like i don't really want to be that sticky
when i can't even shower here oh you should get a shower here you know what it's something that we
literally could do because i was actually thinking um so right now we have two bathrooms uh which is
a huge improvement over the last office you know what's really funny is so many people have been
saying like one of the things they're really looking forward to about the new office is more
than one bathroom funny story the old office has two bathrooms three actually yes it had three
bathrooms one of which was completely functional and completely accessible the reason that people
weren't allowed to use it was because no one would clean it um so absolutely and since we're gonna
have exactly the same issue here and we're gonna probably get like a cleaning service or something
to deal with that nothing would have prevented us from just having the cleaning service at the old
place but the problem is much like the window mounted air conditioning i kept getting updates
from our construction company that we were you know two weeks or three weeks out or whatever
and so i do want to say that my dad like peeked through the window and gave a time estimate which
is probably still going to be on track for like exactly correct oh so it's good work it's been
very frustrating that no one other than luke's dad who didn't share this information with me
knew when i told you and you're like no no it'll be three weeks and he was like no what i said was
no no no they say okay okay because i was pretty skeptical too that's fair all that's all i have
to go on right so um so what was i what was i even talking about right the back bathrooms yeah
people are excited about bathroom bathrooms yeah yeah no i want to shower yeah uh no caught but
there will be a sectional in the library that works yeah um and there's a new plan for the
conference room so we are no longer building up that thing to be a bench what we're gonna have
and esther mapped it out and drew it out and it looks like it'll work with enough room for chairs
is we're actually going to have kind of a figure eight shaped table so the people sitting on the
side with less space can scooch their chairs back towards each other to get out they're okay yeah
so that's the new plan should be good that sounds super weird yeah i i actually kind of like the
idea it's like i don't know and like if you have like a smaller group it won't feel quite so big
with a square table because it's very rare that we're gonna have a meeting with 10 people yeah
yeah so i don't know i don't know because even like monday morning meetings should probably just
be in the warehouse yeah or in the editing den or like they can be anywhere everyone can just stand
somewhere where you can stand a bunch of people yeah they're like 10 minutes long yeah back to
your shower request so i was actually thinking two bathrooms by the time we have you know 15
people working here or whatever actually isn't necessarily even that great especially when you
might have any upwards of three to five people working in the warehouse at any given time
so i was kind of thinking because this is actually three separate units we could just build like a
little like standing shower and toilet and sink like box and bring water in because i want to
bring a water line in from the main mechanical room because we actually don't have water in the
warehouse all we have are sinks so i was thinking we have like an industrial sink sitting on the
other side of the wall and then we have the plumbing for like a shower and a toilet and
a sink in there the reason why i want to shower that's i don't know why we're talking about this
on my show but whatever is for people that might either bite to work yeah or go work out before
work starts and uh so you're not the first person to request it i've also requested it months ago
i realized why we wouldn't do it immediately it would just be pretty cool i also want a cot so
that i can sleep here yeah then i just never have to leave because there's a shower and then i could
like store toothpaste and stuff so this is all part of your plan to game stream from here yep
like late into the night isn't it yep i knew it was going to be an escape to give you a key to
this place that's exactly what i'm going to be doing i don't know i've got people saying we
don't care about your bathroom where's the tech news well six thousand people apparently care
about our bathroom you know what's funny is that speaking of caring about the bathroom for those
of you who aren't on vessel um i think at least two of the new office moving vlogs have footage
of the insides of toilets in them it is 100 Terrence fault what 100 Terrence fall why
uh well one of them i get and might have been my idea well he pointed the camera at it that
makes it his fault it's like if it's my idea to you know um you know rid the world of justin bieber
if someone else points a gun at him and pulls the trigger i mean i can't take responsibility
for that lots of people had that idea right and i didn't like i didn't pay him to do it well i
guess i did pay him i did and did you give him an order to do it um because well a little bit
different what i said was point the camera at the toilet so you told him to do it you specifically
told him to do it and we're paying him to do so right but see i've had this conversation with all
of you i have all kinds of terrible ideas my expectation from my team is that they will apply
you know a filter to the things that i say so that i know but you went to the killer justin
bieber thing well you know that's a whole other issue i think you're changing the subject changing
the subject you were a commander and you told the soldier to point and shoot the gun you can't
completely absolve yourself like the military to you you just use kill someone analogy and you
think justin bieber's in the army you think justin bieber would last a day in the army no
i did not say he was in the army i did not so anyway the reason that that one was interesting
was that um it was the toilet that the it was in the server room so it it had it had been not the
lid had never been opened for like two years since we put the printer on top of it so i was like i
wonder what's in there yeah um dried on caked on probably remnants of whatever eats fecal matter
because i suspect the fecal matter would have been consumed by some kind of bacteria which would
have been died probably um ed is apparently instagramming us show the mcdonald's stuff it's
for the sponsorship i pulled the thing off no i'm just kidding there's no mcdonald's sponsor
i do that every time how do i um no i can i can totally i can totally see that because
otherwise there is a table backwards otherwise there's yes it is yes so our knees are like
right into the thing fit under the table otherwise there is a distinct possibility
that you will eat the paper yeah i have had this problem yeah not with ice cream cones usually
that's a pretty big piece of paper but uh on at least one occasion i've picked up an apple
i've gone if i don't remove that tag i'm gonna eat it and then you don't remove it and then you eat
it and then i'm like oh i should take the tag off that oh because okay let's let's talk apple eating
strategies for a minute here apple eating strategies how do you eat your apples
um i peel the thing off first every single time no question before i even start i wash it yeah and
then i basically use my bottom teeth i like you're a bottom tooth you're a bottom tooth fair you know
what is you know what's funny about that is i think it probably has did you ever get like uh
dental correction like braces or or anything like that okay so what i still have a bar behind my
you do behind my lower teeth i've never noticed that when we've uh sorry um what were you what
were you saying uh so what did they correct for you just just alignment yeah just alignment okay
so i had bite a little bit but under or over it i don't remember okay and it wasn't very much at
all so i had a severe i had like a ball and overbite i was like horse kid oh like it's
amazing like when i i had like this mullet and i had like these i have kind of big front teeth
in the first place and you know when they're like a good you know half a centimeter ahead of the
bottom ones it's like smile like that man i was that kid so um so i was always like i would do
things like open pop cans with my front teeth like oh like oh yeah that was me like they were way out
there so i um so i am definitely a top teeth eater but here's the next thing big bites are small
bites big okay so for me like annoyingly uncomfortably big bites yes okay then we're
different teeth same strategy because i'm all about you gotta get low and then i'm going for
as as close to a perpendicular entry for the teeth as possible so you can pry basically a
third of the apple away yeah i just do that with my lower teeth it is all about the first two bites
of the apple after that everything goes downhill yeah because i don't like mushy apple yeah like
i'm actually one of those people i don't chew my food right like you know how you're supposed
to chew food like 20 times or 30 times or whatever before you swallow it okay i don't chew my food
right if that's the case i don't right because for me eating is like it's like 60 flavor 40
texture experience oh yeah and the texture of eating food it's like would i eat it if someone
else chewed it up and put it on the plate do i want that in my mouth no and it's like and it's
not just about germs like it's like you know i'll kiss my wife it's not like i have a problem with
mouth to mouth contact or saliva exchange yeah yeah but like if she chewed up food and put it
on a plate i'm not gonna eat that shit ever done like a gum swap uh oh yeah yeah who cares yeah
yeah yeah because that doesn't ruin the texture of the gun no that's actually why i asked that
because it reinforces your not worrying about the germs thing but caring about the texture
okay toothbrush share or no uh i would never do it but i don't actually care you would never do it
no would you okay um because i would always assume that the other person wouldn't want that to happen
okay there's kind of two ways you can you can go with this though so you would never borrow
someone's but would you let someone borrow yours depends who well we're assuming this is a
significant other if it's a significant other than yes i would what about me she she brushes her
teeth like six times a day is that like breakfast dinner and after every time she eats anything
she keeps a toothbrush and toothpaste in her purse really yeah that's fast so like it would probably
clean the toothbrush okay they've been through this on friends so we don't have to rehash this
but just because you're the cleanest thing in the house doesn't mean the towel gets cleaner
when you wipe yourself with it that's true um uh i don't know i don't know i'm not that worried
about it because i i don't know i clean it up before and after every time i use it right okay
so here's the reason that i wouldn't use my wife's i'll let my wife use mine okay as long as i get to
it after she's done because she doesn't hang it out to dry i dry mine too she she lets it she
lets it sit in the puddle mine has a stand so i put it on the stand i'm way too cheap for that
well i got mine for free okay did i have i told you this story i got an electric toothbrush why
would i know the story of your free of your free toothbrush holder no because well it wasn't a
toothbrush holder it has a charging stand it has an induction charging stand oh that's cool because
i went to the dentist and he was doing work or whatever and he was supposed to freeze part of
my mouth but he like pushed the injection thing after he pulled it out and it like froze a whole
bunch of my face unnecessarily and it was like when you were getting your wisdom teeth out
uh it was the start of that so he like super screwed up and was like please don't sue me
here's a free really expensive toothbrush and i was like okay
so i have this like super ball and electric toothbrush that i paid zero dollars for
and then for the whole rest of the day my face was just like raw awesome oh well totally worth it in
my opinion so yeah it has the stand thing so i cleaned it off and then put it on the stand every
time okay so i think it's actually relatively clean like even when i throw them away they look
super clean just the bristles are all messed up i just used my toothpaste tube and i rested on it
yeah yeah i used to do that i'd lay it on that i discovered a pro brushing tip though and i didn't
like look this up but i couldn't figure this out i was like the first time i brushed my teeth with
a new toothbrush because you're supposed to use extra soft right like everyone universally is
supposed to use extra soft and i actually have an issue with my gums receding which is apparently
pretty common in people who have had braces and i just brushed too hard for a long long time and
awesome pro tip for you guys i was like every time i get an extra soft toothbrush within a week
it's like it feels really hard and really stiff so now my morning routine and my nighttime routine
is i run water on the toothbrush first and then let it sit for two to five minutes while i do
everything else and the bristles are soft yeah no i do i didn't know that yeah just do people know
this i have like truffle time i have relatively extensive toothbrush cleaning before and after
after i like well no i'll clean it right away but then i would use it right away
oh so i wouldn't let it soak for a bit yeah i don't let it soak it makes it way softer yeah
i didn't know so do you pre-soak your toothbrush so yes i i knew about this no i didn't
turnip all right blah blah blah i've got some people complaining this is the worst wan show
ever this is some of our best viewership on the wan show ever we have 7 700 people watching and
we're half an hour into the show and haven't talked about anything that is an all-time high
like by a significant margin
why do we even bother talking about tech at all we should just completely rebrand the wan show
the weekly um the lack of analysis and news show yeah the the wlan show the wlan show
yeah and like it's unreliable
because it's wireless yeah
oh that's fantastic apparently i'm on the main page of twitch so apparently it's just because
nothing is going on in esports right now so there you go it has nothing to do with us hosting a good
show nothing to do with that at all we often stream when there's like nothing specifically
going on yeah summer games done quick is going on what are you guys even talking about
oh i don't know how to screen share with you guys easily here hold on a second
games done quick is awesome yeah but uh uh okay yeah i i had that set up a specific way
you know what give me give me a sec i'm gonna have to figure out how to how to screen share
this with you guys scene seven oh okay uh yeah there's there's 132 000 people watching super
mario brothers 3 132 000 people it's summer games done quick there is important stuff going on
yeah yeah take that you guys so add screen capture and let's just grab this browser window boom
i can sit over top of luke i hate that guy hey hey take that all right that's the lightest show
do you pre-soak your toothbrush no 47 percent of you either do not pre-soak your toothbrush
or your brushing habits involve a tuber for some reason only 24 percent of you knew about this pro
tip so i'm feeling pretty good about that little life hack right there pretty high percentage
considering i've never seen someone do that ever okay so we have got a lot of people talking about
the fire pole do we should we is there anything to address at this point other than to beg you to
please stop spamming my social media with hashtag fire pool more like please continue depending on
who you ask my girlfriend's instagram is literally just hashtag firepool any photo that she posts
she'll be like oh blah blah blah this random thing that has nothing to do with computers
hashtag firepool the whole thing wow i feel kind of bad you like her friends don't even post on it
anymore because it's been just completely taken over by my viewers i mean is that a kind of like
cyber attack a little bit hashtag spamming she can't have like her own instagram anymore
because it's been completely taken over by viewers it's kind of like it's kind of like mafia wives you
know like online personality wives they just you know they they just can't they just can't live
normal lives anymore yeah that's all there is to it their social media is just doomed yeah from now
on how's the audio in here i have no idea have you listened to the show at all i have no you don't
have headphones i haven't seen anyone complaining yeah i haven't seen anyone complaining and you
know what i think the bot is just going on a banning spree right now this should be pretty
much about as bad as it gets we're in the library right now which is not designed for audio at all
and also has no furniture in it yet and has like holes in the ceiling yeah when we're out in the
studio it should be significantly better than this i'm so excited about this place the bot
is banning so many people guys i would be careful about the spam guys these are perma bands the bot
will wreck you yeah well the bot wasn't up last week so that's true the bot is back bam i was
wrecking people last week ah yes the manual wreckage i banned like 20 25 people because
people were like oh the bot's not up and then posting stuff and i was like nope goodbye
oh so uh internet speed
new office update you guys so i was here until almost midnight the other night i think it was
like 10 30 11 something like that and it was for a very good reason check this out so as usual um
hold on group by date sorry i just set up windows 8 on my laptop so i'm like super not set up
properly yet you you i really like it so far like you you mean 10 10 did i say 8 yes oh no no no i
am running windows i was gonna be like you set up windows 8 when everyone else got windows 10
no no no no no no no sorry um so i hold on uh where where is it i yeah that's that's fine i'm
that's fine i'm not worried about that um no it's okay i actually talked to them um i talked to them
about it i cleared it with them so oh what the what the crap oh that's kind of cool i actually
haven't used the new version of xsplit that extensively pretty sweet so i guess what i have
to do is i have to grab this side of the screen somewhat manually now though okay so there you
go i'm replacing luke again bye that my friends is why i was here late so apparently um our our ping
to the nearest uh to the nearest hub is two milliseconds we are extremely close to it
he was like he was uh he was tunneled in doing some tests and he was like whoa what's your
address again and i was like blah blah he's like yeah you are like blocks from it two millisecond
thing to the node and um so this this test here was actually to a server in like colona or something
so it's it's it's i don't even know if it's a great server is not going to be great yeah so
our best server to test too is actually in seattle so google was a six milliseconds there you go
from here yeah freaking sick so the 200 up 200 down is actually not the most important aspect
of our speed test what's actually far more important for a speed test is the is the latency
because when you're browsing the web you have to wait for your side and the other side
to acknowledge each other first before any data is transferred at all so when you're doing
something like downloading a steam game yeah that bandwidth number that throughput number
that's key yeah but when you're doing something like browsing social media um you know refreshing
your facebook page little transactional stuff like that there's a guy in the twitch chat with
the handle linus late tips linus late tips yeah sorry it's just awesome um so when you're doing
little transactional things that latency makes way more of a difference yeah so that that low
just explaining this whole thing to someone like yesterday so that's really funny because i was
talking about my new internet that i'm getting right that should also let me stream better from
home because i was not able to do that you're moving to telus fiber aren't you yeah and i'm
my my network connection will be like doubling nice so i'll be getting like twice as fast
they have a 200 down server service now don't they no no 100 but you were on 50 down i was
on 50 nice um and so my upload should be better for those twitch streams and uh it'll it should
just be better overall hopefully i'll be able to actually stream from there but honestly i'll
probably mainly be streaming from here oh man all right yeah i'm really excited about the new
network connection you guys seriously it's it's sick so we're on wi-fi on some like horrible
ancient dealing yeah i was like what the heck because all the access points are stuck in the
roof so but we were uploading videos to youtube and it's just like wow like i uploaded a pretty
short one it was only a 30 second clip but it's 4k and like stuff like it's a fair amount of
data it's still a fair amount of data and i was like hey guys you gotta come see this he uploads
so fast and ed and taryn are like walking over and they get they get to me they're only like
20 paces away and i'm like sorry it's done that's awesome the internet connection is too fast it's
actually faster than you oh i should put my server here
yeah i should do that what server nothing no absolutely not i'll just hide it
no it's a really big office no it's a really big office that like i could probably put it in the
roof no no oh what else what else is there to say a lot of people have noticed that my wife has been
helping us with the moving vlog you know what this is actually something i've been needing
to address for a little while i had said in some of the new office updates that i've been trying
to get my wife to come work for us and i saw some people commenting about how she would only work
for us because she's the boss's wife and you know she hasn't helped with Linus Media Group or
whatever else you guys my wife co-runs this company with me just because she's not in front
of the camera and just because she also has a full-time job and also had two babies in the last
three years she's like i had a lot of crap on her plate she does all of our bookkeeping she does a
lot of our organizational stuff she takes care of payroll uh she coordinated the new office
i basically it was like her being like uh what do you want and me being like i don't know this this
this and this and then everything else was done by her she is 100 percent a Linus Media Group
like originally OG Linus Media Group so it would there would be nothing ceremonial about her having
an office and a title someone asked if she cooks and i know that was probably a sexist comment but
i have to say very well yep very well i really like cooking and she's really good yep so there
you go yeah there would be there would be nothing not earned about it if she got an office here i
straight up no one in the company would object to that so there you go isn't that she she has one
yeah it's gonna sit empty and she's not even until she decides to work here i think i think
that probably gets the point the problem is that she works at Costco yeah so she's got like great
benefits better than ours better than ours she's got like sick RRSP this and that she's got like
she's got more vacation days a year than i do she like she's she's got a good salary so all
that stuff so it's like i haven't been a big enough company yet to even try to entice her
but i figured come on man office we're getting there and she's like is there a window and i'm
like well you helped to design the office only my office has a window you know so i'm working it i'm
working the angles you know this guy i'm working the angle i love how you have the least accessible
office in the whole freaking place except for maybe nick but then he's not even gonna use it
because he wants to be more accessible oh is he not planning to use it hasn't he told you i haven't
talked to him that he wants to use it as a call room so anyone can use it as a call room so all
the guys will be on the floor and then people can go in there whenever they need to do that makes
sense and then if and that way if the main meeting room is taken up then people can pop in there
and like only if we're desperate if there's someone from the outside you know what that's
actually a really crazy thing we have a lot of partners like you know whether it's intel or
monster cat even like we use a lot of their music and uh you know uh uh twitch or or whatever like
we've got so many partners um we have never invited actually yeah i saw that i'm gonna talk
about it in a minute we've only ever i think had two two vendors visit us at the office
xforma was there and ek water blocks came yeah and uh uh cooler master and cooler master so
because like there's only a few guys that he's not a partner but lou uh oh yeah yeah lou from
unbox therapy he's been there yeah he's but he's he's like he's a friend yeah um so anyway like
not many partners that we actually launched but that wasn't at this office yeah that was the old
one garage so that we do actual business you know monetary transactional business with we don't
invite people to our office because it was so horrible it was honestly like we had we did
interviews relatively recently yeah that was for for potential new hires and that was like
kind of embarrassing the first thing i said when they walked in the door guys were getting a new
office like in a week what else can i say yeah because it was just embarrassing whereas now now
that we'll have like a meeting room and like you know an office for people to walk through i'm
actually kind of excited to have people you know come and meet with us i'm excited for this room
and the benching room did i tell you where i'll be all the time youtube said they want to come see
it that's cool yeah that's really cool yeah we actually like we finally have recognized us we
finally have no totally well i went down and i i sat on that panel at the at the creator session
um and then a couple of the people that i've talked to there were just blown away that we have
a studio and they were like yeah can we come see it when it's done like yeah totally yeah um i know
vessel is planning to come visit sick um that's really cool yeah so so yeah they're they're
particularly stoked on it because oh the vessel guys have been up here too yeah yeah they're
still guys have been up here too but they didn't come to the office no exactly yeah because we
didn't want them to come in well that's like it's gross yeah it was horrible so yeah the thing i
think what vessel's really interested in seeing is uh what they helped build because and i've wanted
to address this on the one show for a while we did a crowdfunding campaign to help us with the
cost of the new office we raised something in the neighborhood of 30 to 35 000 something along that
line huge help made a really really big difference but um some of you watched or read rather the
interview that i gave with vessel like the creator profile thing where vessel talked about how their
funding helped us expand our building plans for our new office in a really big way so i want to
just put it in the right sort of context here the 35 000 helped us in an immense way anyone who
knows anything about new office construction knows that that is not what this project cost
not even close so there was a lot so some people were really upset about vessel kind of taking
taking the the the credit for that and no they shouldn't have taken all the credit we had it
updated yeah and and the article was actually updated because i realized that was a wording
error yeah um but but the deal that we made with vessel has contributed a huge chunk of why we were
able to build up the upstairs right away and i mean the reason that was important is because
we didn't want construction going on up there while we're trying to film especially from filming
for a fairly considerable amount large amount of time and then like even just the dust from
that would actually be kind of a problem with like lenses and stuff can you believe how big
the old office is now that it's empty berkel yeah berkel was blown away so berkel has only
worked with us for like what six months something like that i want to say six months probably sure
um so berkel has only worked with us for about six months no it's a year is it a year shut up
no no he was at his old job a year ago but it was he was close to quitting i think it's been like
eight okay well okay okay oh my life is just passing me by um so so believe what how long
like taren's been here for i know taren's been here a long time um so anyway we cleared everything
out of the old office and he was like holy crap this place is huge it was so full of stuff like
floor to ceiling full of stuff that you couldn't even tell how big it was and stuff like
i completely forgot the whole chat is like shut up there was an enormous window in the living room
because we had a green screen in front of it for two years no two giant windows yeah oh my
i had completely forgotten there was natural light in that building taking stuff down was
interesting because i remembered like when we were putting up that green screen and you and me were
like oh whatever let's go to home depot and just like buy random wire like just screw it into the
roof i had to take that down i was just like this is so janky do you remember what a temporary
solution that was okay okay so so our plan okay was to get a really nice green screen like uh
material yeah uh like a really great green screen and like a really great huge stand and temporarily
we were just like oh let's just order this cheap one on ebay and uh yeah okay yeah let's just get
this and we'll just build it and hopefully that'll be fine until because we i think we were originally
gonna put a green screen in the garage yeah that never happened no the garage was floor to ceiling
full of computer cases yeah always and there's audio problems with the garage there was barely
any room to park one car like you could like worry about knocking over a pile of cases or
having cases fall onto a vehicle like it was bad yeah so we got this the cheapest green screen we
could on ebay that would fit in the living room supposed to be a very temporary solution we got
it and we were like wow this is the crappiest thing ever so the cool thing about that green
screen was that the actual green screen fabric was what about 10 feet high and then it must have
been about 30 feet long total so you could stand on it you could do full body stuff no wait
no you couldn't because the material was so sheer that because there was a window behind it
even though we had all the shutters closed even the light leaking right through it yeah just went
right through it terrible horrible so we had to fold it over three times then when we did that
what happened was the weight of the fabric was so much that the cheap crappy bar that goes between
the two cheap crappy stands bowed in the middle so you could never get the wrinkles
you
you
you
would you try unplugging it and plugging it back in
is it is that the issue like look how loose that is what the heck
oh okay well we're live again so okay let's not touch the mic fix it as i unplugged it plugged it
back in okay that was enough so one of the things that we've organized in the last little bit sorry
about that guys uh one of we were just saying i don't think we've ever had wow we broke 10,000
live viewers for the first time ever on man show it covered a single real talk okay maybe we should
do maybe we should do a real topic to celebrate that really no real topics there is like there's
some pretty good stuff this week are you sure but we got 10k without any topics i know that feels
wrong oh my goodness that video that you filmed this week looks so amazing yeah have you seen it
i have seen a very small part okay guys i'm gonna reveal something here that is amazing so wait
what is it out again hello hello oh no it's good sorry i'm freaking out okay so we had a lot of
requests from our viewers okay who like the kitchen set in the old house they they're like
yeah you know what it feels really real it feels really homey and so we had a lot of requests to
rebuild the kitchen set at the new office we have done it luke will be hosting his g29 wheel review
in the kitchen set in spite of that being the first video shot here at the new office
and heard it here first folks outside of just the kitchen being rebuilt if you guys want to see
more like racing wheel and joystick videos be sure to let us know yeah you know what that's actually
that that's actually a really a good thing for a straw poll here i think racing racing wheel stuff
i mean you've been using you were using project cars for most of your testing right yes project
cars is freaking great it's super great it makes me want to play racing games again which makes me
really happy i'm glad we uh i'm glad we picked up a copy then yes me too did you have one of your
own already project cars yeah no okay so it's just on the benchmark account yeah okay cool
maybe i'll check it out too i love the benchmark account it's so great always the latest games
always a business expense family and friends sharing did we say that what i don't know yeah
is it family and friends i mean we're friends i yes whose account is it it's like mine right
mine right is it mine does it belong technically no it belongs to linus media
right but linus media group is owned by me but it's in my name but it's okay that gets really
confusing right so okay so if i'm your friend then i can definitely use it and if you work for linus
media group and you're my friend and i own linus media group then you can definitely use it yeah
i think it works yeah yeah yeah i think it's fine that should be no problem right either way that's
like most of the games i play on steam these days is just they come from the sharing from
that account okay so we've got 13 of people are party poopers
oh and do not turn up and they do not racing wheel that's super sad so that is very unfortunate so
the obato should we try and find a place for it here because i put it in a side room in my house
and then i have literally not touched it and what i kind of want to do with that room instead have
i told you my plan for that side room no well maybe okay i thought it was for the obato well
that was part of the plan so i wanted to turn so i have like this weird like i don't know what it is
what would you describe it as like like i don't know what to describe it as but it's like a little
hidden den thing that kids would love to go hide yeah and the reason kids specifically is that at
its highest point i think the ceiling is like six feet and then the slope of the roof like there's
a room that's like right in the front of my house with the roof over top of it and there was only
so much flat sort of normal ceiling height room and then after that yeah there's these two weird
rooms that have the slope of the roof interfering with them and they're really small so i was
planning to just have the obato in one of them and then i was gonna get a crt tv and like a bunch of
retro consoles and a beanbag chair and i was just gonna have like this weird little like gaming den
thing but i put the obato in there it takes up like half of the room um and i i think i just
kind of i think i just kind of give up so i still want to do the retro gaming thing but then i could
have room for a couple beanbag chairs or like four beanbag chairs play some mario kart 64 yeah
i think that might actually be better yeah so if we can find room for it here maybe we'll just move
it back here and then we can just use it whenever we do our reviews of like wheels and joysticks
that's why i said i wanted to keep it actually is that would be cool one thing that i'm super
excited for is not only vr testing in terms of graphics cards because i think that's going to
be interesting because we're gonna have to start looking at minimums a lot more and i'm i have like
a whole thing planned for that yeah anyways um is when i was playing project cars and i started
getting really into it with the racing wheel and there's force feedback and everything's awesome
and i'm like i was just wearing an oculus this would be so cool right now um and i want to
i'm gonna pitch this to you on camera when i was no pressure though when i was in taiwan
when we went to that really cool tech mall yeah there was a guy there um i thought it was i think
it was like jack's racing jack's racing um gotcha he was a official like french um race driver and
if you took this course with him um you could get your driving certificate to be able to race in
like competitive racing stuff it was crazy that tech mall had a lot of really weird stuff in it
um but he okay he had this 50 000 unit i'm not saying we buy it don't worry i'm not saying we
buy it is it the one that can spin freely it can spin freely and like yeah if you go around a
corner and crash it's like boom and the whole thing freaks out i've seen it i contacted them
already oh i wasn't even gonna say that i want us to build our own it is not worth it oh okay
i have straight up looked into this well yeah it is horrifying no his wasn't to spin freely because
it wasn't a spaceship one okay this his was planted and it would lean okay there's one
there's one that is um there's one that is i think closer to 80 or like maybe 150 000
that can not only lean and tilt and rock but it can actually spin freely so you could spin out
in it and then it can go as many times as you want in one direction without losing the connection
wow so it doesn't twist up wow that is like the only people who buy this are like for it's like
a showcase piece or like simulation tester they custom build every single unit it's like a family
that builds them or something like i i i actually contacted them and i was like so you know how much
is it i'm just curious it was some horrifying number i've even blocked it from my memory i
don't remember like it might have been a quarter million dollars like it was
horrifying like we're talking saudi princes are ordering this thing not linus media group yeah
and honestly without the ability to spin i don't know if i'm not sold on it you know it was pretty
good because uh when you'd spin out in the one that i had it would do this really hardcore right
so it would feel like there's so much movement going on that you kind of feel like it's just
disorienting yeah kind of thing right that makes sense and like if you were to do a burnout it's
just going to lean you really hardcore to the one way so it's going to feel like you're being pulled
around the curve it wouldn't work for certain things right but it's usually fine you mean spin
out like if you oh yes uh donut sorry okay okay yeah um you know what we should probably do our
sponsor spot we have only one sponsor today oh crap that's the wrong lower third dang it
luke what that wasn't my fault at all no i don't even found you the right one yeah i i actually
legitimately did not in the dot com more than 3 000 courses available uh blah blah blah there might
even be one on creating something oh god oh oh god oh crap we'll we'll be back oh crap every
friday every friday 30 plus or minus 30 but only plus never minus we should start early sometime
oh all right well whatever linda.com the place to learn online when you're not learning from us
about how to stall for literally an hour and almost a half and almost a half whoo uh so they've
got all kinds of great courses whether it's coding business um photoshop adobe premiere you know
learning new job skills or just getting better at a hobby like photography head over to linda.com
slash wan show and get a 10 day trial for free all you can eat linda.com is great for accessing
through your browser and like you know streaming the videos hey but they also support downloading
them and watching them back on your android or ios device you can create playlists that you can
share with your friends so you guys can learn together i actually know a few people that use
the offline feature already because of stuff like uh the the sky train they took the sky train into
vancouver to go to work and the sky train will go through tunnels and you'll lose signal so you
can't really stream video the whole time so download it and then watch on sky to be clear
the sky train is us being canadian and calling a monorail a sky train for those of you who don't
know what a sky train is it's a monorail it's not in the sky at all yeah it's on a rail it's on a
rail and there's one rail and it's called a monorail yeah i don't understand uh so right
that was linda.com slash one show i don't understand why we have to call it something special
like why can't we just translate call it what it is because this is the monorail the vancouver
monorail i am sweating like so hardcore through my shirt right now but you know what's cool about it
check this out is i'm actually like i'm like sweating my my cut abs oh wow wow wow wow that's
not what's happening no at all i don't think this is what is happening but that would be more likely
if you have roles oh i don't think that's what's happening don't make me prove i don't have roles
on the show again no no one wants to see that he doesn't have speaking of not wanting to see that
what is up with dennis's nipple being in the moving vlog why is it all over the moving vlog
he was naked why was he naked for like a day does he not understand our culture here was only him
and berkel at the old office and so they like yeah that's why they took so long remember when they
were late with the u-haul by like an hour that's right berkel lasts a little while wow they were
really late yeah i gotta get some tips from that guy or at least one girth perks i feel so bad
about the channel super fun upload schedule like straight up bad you know whose fault it is nick
light no real no he's been really busy like i get it because there's been vacations and there's been
moving and there's been all this stuff that's been going on and normally i'm helping him with
a lot of the stuff that he does and i've been completely consumed by the move like
basically i i look at my email once per day right now that's it i blitz through like 80 to 100
emails every night throughout the move and other than that i'm not looking at anything so i'm
he'll he'd like he'd like walk up he'd be like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah i'm like no not right now he's like okay i'll figure it out on my own so he's been
getting ltt up and then the other cut the other channels have someone just said you should make
up for it by offering tours of the new office we are we are straight up on this 21st yeah
i've heard people are actually flying in for this that is some hardcore stuff right there
yeah i mean i will be i'll be i'll still be amazed if anyone actually does it but i've seen a number
of people saying that they're planning to do it so i guess we better not move the day hey
yeah no we're we actually we said it this is this is funny back on the subject of the eta for
completion of the new office we had originally set on in our calendar the day of the of the uh
tours and like the meetup let's just call it the meetup the meetup and garage sale day
is it out again pop yep
you gotta throw a cable when we're done yes we do yep yep we're good okay so uh we had originally
set the day for the meetup for like a week ago yeah we would straight up it would have straight
up been a dangerous construction site here yeah it would have not been safe to have the meetup
so i'm really glad that we actually ended up moving it we buffered by like a month
yeah and it looks like by the time eating a lot of that buffer yeah so it's probably gonna be a
week before we're like up and running here and then i would say it's gonna be like a couple
months before everything's like perfect oh yeah but it it won't be perfect by the time you guys
show up but it'll be pretty good on august 21st we're gonna have the uh we're gonna have the
meetup and garage sale and we hope that it's gonna be pretty awesome i think like okay it will be
it will be very good by the time you guys show up by perfect i mean like will be settled in and kind
of know back to the routine of it a lot more yeah yeah back to the routine because everything will
feel more automatic because there's a lot of stuff that we're just gonna have to straight up custom
build like we've been thinking about cables a lot and i think what we're gonna do actually i wanted
to run this by you so you know the wall outside the server room yes okay the original plan for
that wall was to have tables and then um like a velcro wall that we could stick chargers to
for and and so the table and the wall would just be all chargers and you can have like camera stuff
chargers and like drone chargers and battery chargers and whatever so berkel wants to take
up about half of the wall with like these massive steel rods that stick out of the wall and then you
just hang cables on them by type do you think that seems like we should do it or should we just have
bins of cables because that helps them take up almost no space once and and they're really easy
to access as well especially for heavy stuff like extension cables extension cords are they
technically a cable i can't remember they're definitely cords yeah but they might not be
but they might be cables i think they're cables anyway i always have to re-reference that video
i know there's so many crossover surprisingly few people have watched the uh cable like a quarter
me cables versus wires i think is is what it's called yeah that only has 167 000 views that's
pretty low for a tech quickie but yeah that's a fair amount probably make up like at least 100
of those so what do you think of that idea i don't mind it uh maybe not for everything we don't need
a micro usb no but like but like ethernet ethernet uh extension cords and then you can do it by
hdmi you can do it by length so like ethernet over 10 meters ethernet under 10 meters and then
the 10 meter cables we can just like scatter around everywhere because because they fit it
nowhere things that'll be giant and take up like a whole freaking drawer anyways yeah i think makes
sense to go up on the thing and there's like a lot of stuff that we meant to have done before
we moved in and straight up never got to like the shelves for the benchmarking room never got done
so we're just gonna have to hammer away at that get everything sorted out did we just not order
those or well the plan was we were going to get them from that person on craigslist and then they
bailed and then we found as far as i knew for so long was that we were just having contractors
build them yeah um that's expensive and then i think the contractor told us that it's actually
more economical to frankenstein together ikea stuff and so we're maybe doing that but then
there's something that i i don't know also we never did find a plan for uh we wanted to build
this is actually surprisingly rare there's one rubber made product and that was all i could find
for like a bin that's designed to be like kind of a drawer but then you can also remove it and
it's just a bin so we want that for our workbench tables and i found a great diy project on youtube
but that was like it there's like one guy who diy'd it and there's no bins that are specifically
built with really rigid sides so they don't fold and then and then fall out in that kind
of a configuration that seems like the most obvious thing ever to me yeah yeah like like
a rail system bin kind of thing it's possible we could find like a pre-done thing and then
just frankenstein that just pull the actual drawers the problem with rail bin things is
that a lot of times you need a you need something for the bin to sit on because too much weight on
the on the far sides the bin is just going to fall yeah so i don't even think it would be that hard
to make so there's a lot of things still left to figure out you know we want to build like a
lighting grid like so that's like a like a like a metal structure that sits over the sets that we
can actually like clamp lights to instead of having just floor standing lights all the time
because my goal is to keep the warehouse clean i want to do something about concrete dust at
some point oh so maybe we we're going to have to like move everything to one side
seal the floor move everything to the other side seal the rest of the floor like
we are so far away from it being perfect perfect but we've made a lot of progress
we're really excited should we do one tech topic just for old times sake
sure okay why don't we why don't we rapid fire through a few of these okay so i don't need a ton
of explanations no they super don't so here's the ars technica article for this one right do you
want to post them to twitch chat sure model s is going to have autonomous steering and parking it's
a level two autonomous vehicle there's level zero through four four is fully autonomous zero is not
autonomous at all autonomous parking has been done before and yeah actually a very long time ago it's
like 10 years ago um but only in well that one was only available in one area so like yeah stuff
toyota did it in japan and like um the one series that uh that i demoed a little while ago that had
it stuff like that it's not autonomous parking isn't very new i think the bigger news here is
simply the fact that but this is simply the contrast between tesla's approach to updating
their cars and the traditional automakers approach to updating their cars traditional automakers you
have to make a huge splash in the news about their their car being literally hacked whereas
tesla is like let's add functionality to our car throughout its life cycle and add additional
value that wasn't on the original spec sheet to the customer when is the last i would love for
you guys to correct me if i'm wrong but has any car maker ever updated the firmware to add new
functionality to their car like think about all these cars with built-in dashes and like not
something that was announced and didn't come with it yeah yeah like something that straight up you
had no idea that that was coming um you know like like you think about the the onboard computers in
these cars like you even have to pay for your map updates after a map update from my car is like
five hundred dollars yeah like it's absurd what it's absolutely absurd apparently volvo did
apparently hunday did with the sonata for android auto okay oh but it's android auto i don't know
so i think android auto had an update but but much like the phone like android updates for
phones it probably had to be implemented and vetted by hunday right okay well there you go
the mercedes apparently comes with wheels included thank you for that this is why i don't talk to you
guys twitch chat i talk to twitch chat yeah actually i love you guys twitch chat you you
you make it's all about proactive mental filtering you just gotta sort through the whole twitch chat
as it goes so this is hilarious you know how kim kardashian figured she could break the internet
um with like a nude pic or whatever windows 10 straight up almost broke the internet
um the rollout of windows 10 how much did microsoft uh set aside for themselves
um microsoft windows 10 um internet congestion i actually this isn't this isn't in the doc
um so blah blah blah windows 10 rollout will break internet traffic records so they set aside
some terabit blah blah blah speed and apparently they they are just absolutely smashing it okay
based on convert according to rayburn and this is based on conversations he had with sources so
take all this with a grain of salt cool microsoft has reserved up to 40 terabit per second capacity
from multiple content delivery networks or cdns by comparison apple's release of ios 8 last year
crested at about three terabit per second and other major web events including some of apple's
most widely watched live streamed presentations peaked at eight terabit per second now bear in
mind you guys that windows 10 is a massive file compared to an ios update so the sustained transfer
is going to be longer and then total to a higher amount and this ties in really nicely to luke's
big told you so news topic which is huge the pirates are successfully upgrading to windows
10 for free if you cracked windows 7 very well it works with windows 8 too but it was much easier
with windows 7 if you cracked it very well and convinced windows that you had a real version
and then got the upgrade your key was then recycled and turned into a new windows 10 key
which was validated so you just are winning there's some people that are being detected
and when they upgrade it's like oh you need a windows 10 key haha you're screwed um but that's
a very low percentage so the pirates are are pretty big fans of windows 10 right now i have to imagine
i have to imagine that microsoft could have blocked this if they wanted to probably
i have to imagine that is this is this just was windows loader ever on your computer at any point
in time oh invalidated is this just uh is this just uh straight market share play yeah and just
eat it i think so like are they just taking apple head on i think with the whole free os updates
thing yep that's super what i think it is because honestly right now it's just like
right now not to give anyone ideas but right now you could go get a plain windows 7 iso from
anywhere get the thing that does the thing do the thing and then upgrade to windows 10 and you're
good i think you can still don't quote us on this we're not piracy experts no that's not what i'm
talking about but you you can still get windows 10 reserves right i think so yeah yeah so if you
can first year theoretically nothing has changed and you'd be able to do it and they're not
actively trying to stop it so like i think they're just fighting for market share speaking of actively
trying to stop things you wanna you want to post this puppy sure this is some terrible terrible
news for our pals over at nvidia uh this was the first email i read this morning and i was like
i sent a reply right away i'm like so um does my press sample actually also get covered by this
and they're like yes you also get a new shield tablet because this is a fire hazard and i think
the last thing nvidia wants is a new story about like blackness birds popular technology
journalist you know whoever burned in his sleep or her sleep from beloved tablet nvidia recalled
all shield tablets due to a battery fire hazard uh oh whoever makes that batteries in a world of hurt
so the battery can overheat nvidia is asking asking consumers to stop using the recalled
tablet except as needed to participate in the recall and to back up their data at launch nvidia
made a big deal about the extra thermal dissipation in the design there is a dedicated website for uh
they probably are making the big deal about the extra thermal dissipation of the like CPU CPU
yeah not the battery i wonder if the summer has anything to do with the timing very probably
that's going to get interesting because every summer we have is like oh records broken everywhere
again yeah so so it's nvidia.com support slash tablet a recall that's where you guys are going
to want to go if you have a broken nvidia shield tablet youtube and google plus are divorcing
they're done that is such a sensationalist headline for this it is are you covering
this because i could put the article in front of my face for a change uh look at that baby i
don't have a ton to say don't delete your google plus account right now because they haven't done
it yet delete your google plus account your youtube account is gone so don't do that yet
psa basically everything has bailed off of google plus photos is split others are coming youtube is
split nobody's a fan of google plus anymore um youtube comments anymore well none of the google
services or was anyone ever google services were ah yes um your youtube comments aren't going to
show up in your google plus profile anymore which is awesome because that was super super dumb um
and google plus will stay here just it will be more focused more useful more engaging and no
more people will use it yep i'm so done with google plus now yep i would seriously start
periscoping or snapchatting or both before i would focus any more of my attention on google plus
yeah i mean i feel bad for the people who like really invested their time in google plus because
that yeah that did not work nope at all yeah um do you want to cover the tour thing i didn't see
that until i saw it right now all right let's talk about it next week because honestly until
literally 5 30 today i was getting our storage servers up and running so everyone 4 30 thank you
see i don't even know what time it is until 4 30 today i was getting our storage servers up and
running and uh i got this one yeah you got this one okay and so i i literally walked in i was
like okay how set up is the wan show and it like still needed a microphone and like i told i told
everyone i was like yeah we'll run it off my laptop today no big deal and like i was using
my laptop to configure the servers so it was not here i love this laptop it is working so hard
right now it's just so loud but it is like doing okay like it is loud listen to this guys but like
this it will do this when there's nothing going on sometimes you know what i figured out what it is
no it's a windows service that sometimes takes like 15 CPU utilization and then like so it'll
tweak out and so the blade has a really aggressive fan profile that seems to be based on load rather
than thermals and i understand i can react faster yeah i understand why that is but that doesn't
mean i have to like it yeah so it would be nice yeah and it keeps the CPU turboing really
aggressively which is great for gaming but doesn't always make me super stoked about
i got it thermal throttle though starcraft 2 on ultra max res so running at 3200 by 1800
yeah had it working pretty hard so what i had to do was i i threw in an fps cap and then i was good
cool yeah obama has ordered the world's fastest supercomputer done done 2025 so like it's gonna
be a while it would be capable of making one quintillion so a billion billion calculations
per second also known as one exaflop to perform complex calculations aid scientific research blah
blah blah blah basically weather data and cancer diagnoses although a lot of people think it's for
password cracking well um i guess i guess you know what it's as much as it's become just an internet
punchline it's gonna be as for whoever's president in 2025 it'll be as simple as blaming obama
yep and with that we bid you adieu thank you all 10 freaking thousand of you that's that's
considerable amount over 9 000 yes all 10 000 of you for tuning into the wen show this is a record
